Axonista and Fashion Relief TV win two gold awards at the 19th Annual Horizon Interactive Awards.
On April 5 2020, The Horizon Interactive Awards announced this year’s “best of the best” in interactive media production. Axonista and Fashion Relief won two gold awards, the first for e-commerce and the second for New Technology.
About the Horizon Interactive Awards
In its 19th year, the Horizon Interactive Awards was created to recognize excellence in interactive media production worldwide. Since 2001, the competition has received tens of thousands of entries from nearly 50 countries around the world and nearly all 50 US States. Each year, those entries are narrowed down to the “best of the best” to be recognized and promoted on an international stage for their excellence. The judging process involves the Horizon Interactive Awards advisory panel and a rotating panel of volunteer judges consisting of respected and engaged industry professionals.
Fashion Relief TV has won a number of awards, which has been fantastic for all those who worked so hard on it – however it is particularly nice to be recognised by the Horizon Interactive Awards, because interactivity is at the heart of this video commerce project. Fashion Relief gave sustainable shoppers an exciting way to support Oxfam, despite the Pandemic. Axonista’s interactive shoppable video delivers an online alternative that still captures the excitement of real life. Thanks to Horizon for not one, but two awards!
Claire McHugh, CEO of Axonista.
The 19th annual competition came at a time when the world was put on pause for the pandemic. Despite the disruption and global challenge, digital media did not fail to adapt and display some amazing work during this serious time in our collective human history. The winners in the competition this year highlight that creative adaptability coupled with solid foundations in design, execution and strategic direction. The winners of the 19th annual competition truly represent excellence in interactive media production and they all should be extremely proud of the work that they produce.

Fashion Relief TV
When COVID-19 hit, Axonista was able to help a highly-anticipated fundraising campaign to pivot and become a shoppable video event. Founded in 2018 by Irish broadcaster, Lorraine Keane in partnership with Oxfam, Fashion Relief has become one of Ireland’s biggest fashion fundraisers. Fashion Relief offers people the unique opportunity to “bag a bargain from the wardrobe of their style icon or beloved brand, boutique or designer”.
Axonista’s award-winning interactive video platform Ediflo was used to bring the event online. Together, Fashion Relief and Oxfam wanted to translate the catwalks, rails and product demonstrations to the small screen and allow viewers to shop from the comfort of their own homes. Fashion Relief and Oxfam Ireland was able to harness the power of video and reach an even larger online audience. The team at Fashion Relief worked hard in lockdown to create the video assets which were then curated in Ediflo. A number of interactive features and eCommerce functionalities have transformed Fashion Relief into an end-to-end video shopping experience – Fashion Relief TV.
Fashion Relief launched Fashion Relief TV on 12th of June 2020. Built on Axonista’s enterprise level, interactive video CMS , Fashion Relief TV is an always-on shoppable video platform that enables viewers to watch back and shop at any time. Each 30-minute program allows viewers to click and buy from any device.
